Driving Through a Winter Wonderland

I have a confession to make. While we were in British Columbia for Christmas, I didn’t take very many photos. I had the best intentions to take tons of photos… I really wanted to photograph some of my mother-in-law’s gorgeous Christmas decor and get pictures of the family together. It just never happened.

I did at least get some photos of the gorgeous (!!!) winter wonderland that was our drive back to Edmonton… if you enjoy seeing photos of snow from inside your warm home, then this post is for you. ;)

I don’t even mind the below freezing temperatures when it’s this gorgeous outside! I was absolutely in awe the whole drive…

This is the most stunning view to drive into…

Then the sun started to sink into the horizon and everything turned blue…

About two hours from Edmonton, the sky not even completely dark yet, we were treated to the most stunning display of the northern lights! I wasn’t able to photograph it where we were, but it was one of the most beautiful shows I’ve seen. It was an amazing way to end a beautiful road trip.
